South African energy expert Matthew Cruise has delivered a dire warning for the republics energy deficiencies and shortcomings.

According to Cruise, South Africa will experience Stage 7 power cuts on average by the year 2028.

The warning comes a day after South Africa's Minister of Electricity Dr. Kgosientso Ramokgopa announced that the ailing power utility Eskom could not finance power generation at the required scale and at the required rate pf speed.

Dr. Ramokgopa conceded that expanding the Eskom power grid would take an exorbitant amount of money which Eskom just does not have, this is notwithstanding the South African government securing multiple domestic and international loan and funding facilities to help the power utility repair and upgrade it's ailing power generation, transmission and distribution systems.

Cruise, who was at Eskom for eleven years, says that there is just no immediate end in sight to load shedding, criticizing the government for the lack of long term pre-planning and implementation.

Matthew Cruise is currently the Head of Business Intelligence and Public Relations at Hohm Energy.

Six Die In Eastern Cape Mass Shooting

"Violence in the republic for a country not at war is absolutely outrageous. Our mass shootings are almost on par with those in America, which is ridiculous since Americans have a right to own guns while gun ownership in South is almost illegal".- Ntokozo Mldovu, political analyst.

Details are still sketching over last night's mass shooting in Kwa-Nobuhle in the Esatern Cape.

At least six people were shot and killed as unknown gunmen entered a private residence and indiscriminately opened fire on the occupants of the house in the latest mass shooting to rock the republic.

According to police spokesperson Priscilla Naidoo, two women standing at the gate of the house on Mdledle Str were shot at around 19:55pm last night as the three gunmen forced their way onto the property.

The gunmen then breached the front door of the property and shot more people inside the house.

Eastern Cape SAPS Provincial Commissioner Major-General Nomthetheleli Lillian Mene says that she has commanded Organized Crime Investigation detectives to swiftly corner and apprehend the gunmen.

However, independent political analyst Ntokozo Mdlovu says that police intelligence is absolutely shot where mass shootings are on the gradual increase due to the unchecked proliferation of illegal firearms.

Mdlovu says that there is no political will at governance and at law enforcement administration level to fight the scourge of illegal gun sales, distribution and mass shootings in South Africa.

Paul Mashatile Deputy President of The Republic of South Africa

RUTHLESS VIP PROTECTION

The VIP Protection Unit serving the Deputy President of the Republic of South Africa, Paul Mashatile, was caught on camera viciously assaulting three occupants of a vehicle on the n1 in Fourways, Johannesburg.

The unit of seven assets, with pistols and rifles drawn, can be seen savagely beating, kicking and stomping on the heads of the victims for not moving out of the path of their motorcade in time.

The Presidency of South Africa has released a statement that it is aware of the incident and will press the South African Police Service to finalize a report on the assault as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, South African Police Service Commissioner Fanie Masemola says that an internal investigation has been initiated but that at this point no case has been registered against the members of the VIP Protection unit itself.

The Legal SA reached out to the owner of the vehicle seen in the video but she decline to comment.

According to a neighbour of the owner of the vehicle, the three victims of the senseless attack are fearing to open a criminal complaint against the men who assaulted them.

VIP Protection units in South Africa are notorious for exacting violence on motorists in the republic.
